Yes, Today I will be doing my first ever professional photo shoot – A friend’s Wedding Reception. I’m all excited and nervous at the same time because obviously this is the first time I’m doing something like this.
All night I was thinking about the compositions, people, style, technique and what not, but I know when it comes down to action the best shots are just those decisive moments that cannot be predicted or planned. I mean I’m just going to take it easy but also my approach will be comprehensive(I don’t want to miss anything, do I?), the way I normally shoot, I’m just going to stay simply original.
I have done all my homework for the photo shoot, all gear checked, lenses cleaned, cards, batteries, flash, backpack, all sorted! I’m doing this for my experience, and I thank so much for my friend to give me a chance. I’m sure it’s going to be a major confidence boaster and a big step forward in my photography career. I hope everything goes smooth and just perfect, finger’s crossed…!!!
I so wanted to take my friend with me, but he’s stuck somewhere and I’ll have to do it all on my own, which is not going to be a problem, but you know having a friend next to you always helps.
Other than that, we were out shopping even yesterday, whole day, for the euro trip… That is another big thing happening in my life this year. Alhumdulillah… 🙂
and last but not the least, I’ve made a new fan! So thank you so much my new fan, you’re the best fan 😛

Assalam o Alikum,
Belated Eid Mubarak everyone. Eid was good this year, as in, it was the same but I felt a little different… 😉 😛
A little update on what I’ve been up to lately…
All through out Ramadan I focused on keeping myself away from all the ‘laghwiyaat’ by reading the Quran, being punctual with Salat and building up my Imaan. Other than that I was doing these online short tutorials on Lighting and Colour and some Photoshop tutorials. Designing my website and sorting portfolio images were two other things which kept me busy; YES, I’M ABOUT TO LAUNCH MY PORTFOLIO WEBSITE. Really, I should have done it long time ago, but this is me… I take my time with things… and yeah it will be soon up and running.
I’ve also been watching this photography program – [Framed] Show, it’s available on YouTube if anyone of you is interested. It’s just amazing, they interview these professional photographers around the world and trust me you learn a lot! They also have a very active community on Facebook and a huge fan following. So yeah, do check it out.
That’s about it, I think…
Just a quick one, I spent the whole day in Hull today, and boy, boy, it was treacherous! It had snowed like mad over there. Later on I also got to know that the snow only came from the east which explains it all. Anyway, it was just about 2 feet and it snowed today as well in Hull. Back in Bradford there was no sign of snow fall today, but I’m sure we’ll get some more later on in December.
I was clicking the whole day with my Sony A300, and was falling in love my camera once all over again. I’ll surely put them up on Facebook, Flickr and of course some of them over here as well. It was about one and a half hours’ journey on both sides and I pretty much enjoyed the trip my two of my best mates here in UK.
All right, I’m off to bed now.
Yeah, no matter what you’re going through when Eid comes it cheers you up in so many ways… 😀 This is not one of the best Eids that I have celebrated but it definitely is a cheerful one. I am not with all my family but I’ve got my brother and 2 of my cousins with me here in Bradford, which I think is good enough for now. My family is back in Pakistan and this is my 5th or 6th Eid without them, so I can say I’ve gotten used to it now, but I think soon things are going to change as I’m planning to go back to Pakistan.
Anyway, back to Eid yeah we had some good time chilling with my house mates, Kaleji (liver) was served as Breakfast with some Sheer Khorma (Sweet Dish) to go after it. Everyone was nicely dressed up and everyone was looking good. I, like always, spent most of the time with the camera. Photographing these moments that I know I will inshAllah cherish in the years to come.
So yeah, this was it, and one more thing, EID MUBARAK everyone!
I’ll write some more about Eid soon…
Yeah I know, there is nothing good about the Morning at this hour of the Afternoon, but what can we do? I went to bed at around 0500 hours in the morning. And why did I go to bed this late was simply because my mates were around and we were having an in-house party kind of thing. Two of my mates have moved back in to this house that we share in Bradford. Most of us in this house are graduates and students. So yeah, the two mates I was mentioning are two of my best mates here in UK since I’ve come here.
Putting up this Blog was an idea somewhere from the last year, but yeah what can I say, things materialise when they have to materialise isn’t it? I thought I should learn something about blogging first and then put up my very own blog, so I tried doing that, but guess what? I didn’t really learn anything up till now. What I’ve decided now and a few friends have also suggested it to me is that I should ‘learn by doing’ which is a pretty awesome thing to do with anything that you want to learn, for example umm… swimming, driving, skiing and why not photography, yeah you can also learn photography by actually doing it. I’m an amateur photographer btw(by the way), what? you don’t believe me? OK, no worries go check out my Flickr Photostream.
Enough for this morning I think. Like I told you I don’t know how to blog properly or professionally for that matter, but I’m trying… These were a few random things which popped up in my head this morning(well, morning for me at least :P) so I thought might as well post them up.
Thanks for reading,
